So you need to mount guard on your heart and not allow your spirit receive and process the negative information that comes to you from the world, because out of your heart are the issues of life.
Refuse to be influenced or controlled by anything you hear, feel or see that’s not consistent with the provision of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For example, social media lately has consistently helped to spread a lot of unnecessary gossip, fear-based and unwholesome pictures, and suggestive negative information. As a result, a lot of young people are in despair, not knowing how to handle daily issues of life and situations that come their way, thinking this is the way life ought to be for them. Well, this got nothing to do with you, as a child of God, for you’re born again of His Word and need not dwell on such information.
Job 22:29 says, “When they make [you] low, you will say, [There is] a lifting up…” (AMPC). Rather than allow such negative reports introduce fear to you, just say, “That’s not for me. I function in the realm of super-abundance, super-strength, and super-success, because I’m a child of God; an heir of the Sovereign, and a joint heir with Christ. Therefore, I’m never be disadvantaged in life.” Let these words sink deep into your spirit, and sure enough the transforming power of God’s Spirit will cause you to become exactly what you said about yourself.
